Sringeri Swamiji's lecture on Sanskrit

Vedanta Society of Northern California

This society was founded by Swami Vivekandanda and following with the tradition, various lectures on Upanishad, Sutra are available which are delivered by scholars. You can check the web-site and their YouTube-Channel for more info.

These lectures will give wide extensive idea to understand the Sanskrit Texts, because they are explained nicely by Swamiji with related subject matters. The lectures are delivered in English and after listening to these lectures, you will find it easier to read and understand the Sanskrit Texts related to Upanishad, Bhagavatgita and other Shastras, Sutras etc.

Patanjali Yoga Sutra and Commentaries

Yoga-vaiśāradī is the most  authentic and comprehensive  resource on classical commentaries to Yogasūtras of Sage Patañjali. It covers commentary literature to Yogasūtras from the 3rd Century CE to 20th Century CE – i.e 1700 Years of Content on Yogasūtras. 

Arsha Bodha Center

Swamiji, though non-native Indian, dedicated decades to learn Sanskrit and Indian Culture, spending most of his life in India and was instrumental in my quest for Sanskrit language.

Four years back I stumbled upon the Swamiji’s lecture on Patanjali Yoga Sutra. I wondered the detailed explanation, Sanskrit knowledge he possessed and reference to Indian culture and tradition.
